Agricola Montenigo

Agricola Montenigo is located in Val Squaranto, one of the valleys of the Valpolicella. The long, narrow shape of the valley, the limestone origin of the soil, the winds that blow across it constantly and the watercourses that run through it all have a positive impact on winegrowing. The valley has witnessed limited construction over the years, preserving plenty of wooded areas around the vineyards and safeguarding biodiversity.

Olives

Olive trees are a unique feature of the agricultural heritage of the hills around Verona. Here at Montenigo, we grow the typical local varieties, using biodynamic farming methods that help preserve the biodiversity of the area.

Vineyards

Most of our 15 hectares planted with vines are located on the hillside, and the grapes are grown with the Guyot training system. The vineyards are surrounded by olive groves and woodland, in an environment with a rich biodiversity, which we preserve by adopting biodynamic farming practices.

Biodynamic Method

The biodynamic method allows us to have healthy plants in balance with the ecosystem and able to maintain their spontaneous characteristics, so that the wine produced embodies the authentic, genuine nature of the area.
