Rudi and Laura

It all began with an idea I’d been mulling over for quite some time, a dream I’d put on the back burner. One day in September 2013, after a hot day’s harvesting, I came home and decided to share that dream with my wife Laura, because it’s important for me to have her by my side in everything I do. So I took her aback with the words: “You know Laura, I’ve decided to start making wine”.

The business

It all started in 2013, on a splendid hill in Montorio, a little village in the province of Verona, where my wife Laura and I decided to start working on the family olive grove of around 300 trees and our 1.4 hectares of vineyards. At that time, all we were producing was extra-virgin olive oil. Making wine had never occurred to us.

Along the way, we were joined in our adventure by our son Giovanni, who showed a great interest and enthusiasm for tending to the vines and producing wine, immediately embracing the idea of the natural methods we had in mind.
Later, Elisa also decided to join the business, welcoming visitors to the winery and organising events.

Biodynamic Wine

We produce biodynamic, spontaneous fermentation wines, sulphite-free or with a low sulphite content. We espoused the idea of biodynamic production immediately and enthusiastically, driven by the conviction that a healthy environment and a healthy diet are extremely beneficial for our bodies and our lives.
